The Black Hills

Marie checked in again from the road!

Wednesday was a relaxing day.  The morning was spent enjoying the resort.  Many people went on hikes or just sat back and enjoyed the beautiful view of the profiles of Washington and Jefferson you can see from our balconies. After lunch we took the 1880’s Train ride to Hill City.

In Hill City we visited the Black Hills Institute where we saw a phenomenal exhibit of dinosaur and ancient plant and animal remains.

Finally, we arrived at the Crazy Horse Memorial where we went to the base of the sculpture, however it was very foggy.  It was still an interesting time at the museum.
